Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital 'prioritised' in push for UK economic growth

A statement from Baroness Sally Morgan, CUH Chair and Roland Sinker, CEO: "We are delighted the Chancellor announced that delivering Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital remains a top priority for the UK Government’s plans to unlock the potential of the Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor, and to kick-start the UK’s economy.

Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will change the way we detect and treat cancer.

It will also be a driver for growth and international competitiveness by bringing together clinical expertise from Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) with world-class scientists from the University of Cambridge, Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre, and partners from industry.

Anything invented here will go directly into NHS care, to be rolled-out across the UK, catalysing the translation of life sciences and technology into new technologies and techniques."
